Malaysia is a federal country with electoral monarchy, constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy. Its capital, Kuala Lumpur, is the administrative center of the federal government. The country is divided into 13 states and 3 federally administered regions, covering an area of 330000 square kilometers. Pursuing an independent, neutral and non aligned foreign policy, it is one of the founding countries of ASEAN. It has established diplomatic relations with 132 countries and has 110 embassies and consulates in 84 countries. At the same time, it is a participating country of the Commonwealth, the Non Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, APEC, the Indian Ocean Rim Alliance and other organizations.
